The Independence Day of Brazil was officially announced on 7th September 1822 from the hands of the Portuguese. Since then the country proudly celebrates the Independence Day of Brazil with lots of fanfare and excitement. For ages Brazil has represented the great escape into a prehistoric, tropical heaven, igniting the Western imagination like no other South American country. Brazil with its unique attributes including having had a reigning monarch and an empire boosts of a relatively bloodless independence from Portugal. The Brazilian did not have to fight tooth and nail nor did it create any revolt. The King himself declared in the Grito do Ipiranga, "By my blood, by my honor, and by God: I will make Brazil free" with the motto "Independence or Death!"

Thousands get together in a mad passion to proudly celebrate the Brazilian Independence Day every year. A country of mythic proportions, people gather in the road celebrating with banners, balloons and streamers. The young Brazilian woman carries the national flag the symbol of the greatest democracy and presently most successful and largest country of all of South America. Students take part in the parade held on the morning flying the Brazilian flag with great dignity. The carnival is held the whole day where people of all ages take part and have a gala of a time. In the evening people gather to see amazing fireworks in the clear sky, above the blue-black Amazon.
